Haley Mchaffie is an Award winning travel and documentary photographer based in the UK.

She began taking pictures aged 18 inspired by watching her mother 's photography students developing prints in the dark room.

Haley took a break from her photographic practice,  but it was a photo assignment in Nepal and the opportunity to document her father in Australia that brought her back behind a camera after a seven year hiatus.

When I travel from place to place I am visually inspired by  almost everything I see around me. Exploring rich and diverse cultures is a privilege  that I never take for granted. I choose to shoot on the streets which means my  work is often left to chance and fate to determine my image making. Sometimes these  moments are fleeting, and other times a brief exchange of words and gestures  are made. Whatever the connection, I strive to photograph people with humility  and respect.
